The manadental principle of action is based on antimicrobial photodynamic therapy (aPDT), in which bacteria are marked with special dyes and then specifically eliminated using light.
With manadental, this proven technology from dentistry is being used for the first time in daily oral care at home: when rinsing, riboflavin (vitamin B2) penetrates the plaque, and the tooth light removes the stained deposits. Residues of the dye are removed during brushing.

The dental light operates in the wavelength range of 420 nm to 790 nm and emits only visible light – precisely the range that the human eye perceives. UV and infrared radiation are not emitted by manadental.

No, manadental liquid only works in combination with the manadental dental light. Without targeted light exposure, no cleaning takes place. This is by design: the goal is not to eliminate all bacteria in the mouth, but rather to specifically remove those that are stained by the liquid and then irradiated with light of sufficient intensity. In this way, manadental enables precise cleaning along the dental arch – while the rest of the oral microbiome remains undisturbed.
After use, simply rinse with water or mild soap and then dry. Avoid abrasive sponges to prevent scratches. Important: The charging contacts on the handpiece must be completely dry before charging the product.
